The U.S. Army National Guard of New York and New York State Troopers provide security at a drive-thru coronavirus testing site in the Bay Plaza Mall parking lot in Baychester in the Bronx. Santos, a National Guard soldier, asks a driver who pulled up to the first checkpoint at the perimeter of the parking lot to keep his car windows closed and to place his driver's license on the car dash. Soldiers at a second security checkpoint inside the parking lot will use the driver's license to identify the driver. People need to schedule an appointment to be tested at the drive-thru testing site. People are tested inside four tents located deeper inside the parking lot past the second security checkpoint. According to National Guard soldier, Bogle, who was one of the soldiers monitoring the security checkpoint at the perimeter of the drive-thru testing site, the site has been testing about 300 or more people a day since early April.
